Case study

Newsletter & Email Marketing

I took an under-used email channel and turned it into a consistent, value-first newsletter. Working across Klaviyo and MailerLite, I planned and sent over fifty campaigns to a list of several thousand subscribers, shifted the mix from mostly promotional to genuinely useful content, and built an educational masterclass that gave people a reason to open every week.

Problem
  • Email marketing left under-used
  • Little content strategy behind the sends
  • An existing but under-nurtured list
  • Emails that were mostly promotional
Brief
  • Send campaigns consistently
  • Sell products
  • Communicate launches
  • Add educational value
My process

Strategy

I built a real content plan for a list of four to six thousand subscribers. I sent over fifty campaigns and set a steady rhythm across the calendar, with the selling emails deliberately grouped on weekends so the rest of the week could lean into value.

Little by little the newsletter shifted from mostly promotional to something subscribers actually wanted to open.

Framework

Across every email I wrote to one simple standard, S.C.E, so each send was easy to read on a phone and quick to act on.

SkimmableScannable in seconds
ClearOne message, no clutter

Masterclass

The biggest initiative was a twenty-episode educational masterclass, sent as a weekly series. From my own experience as an apparel designer I could contribute real educational content. The goal was to give real value, educate the audience and strengthen their relationship with the brand.

It worked commercially anyway. Whenever a related pattern came up naturally inside a lesson, those moments drove some of the strongest clicks of the whole program.

Campaigns

Every send had a job. I built a repeating set of campaign types so the calendar stayed both varied and predictable, from launches and promotions to featured patterns and seasonal moments. Keeping the mix consistent is what made the newsletter feel like a habit rather than a series of one-off blasts.

Lesson 01

Value builds trust

Teaching people something useful earned trust that a promotion on its own never could.

Lesson 02

Give before you sell

Leading with value, not the sale, performed better over the long run.

Lesson 03

Newsletters build the brand

A steady newsletter strengthened the brand relationship over time.
